Falknerfestival im Schwarzwald / Black Forest Falconry Festival

Im September 2019 fuhren wir nach Waldshut-Tiengen.
Dort fand ein Falknerfestival statt und wenn man mit eigenem Greifvogel kam, musste man keinen Eintritt bezahlen.
Und da mein Mensch Schwabe ist…. 😉
Das Wetter konnte nicht besser sein für eine Open-Air-Veranstaltung.

Das Festival fand in einem Stadion statt. Wir sind schon am frühen Vormittag hin, damit wir in Ruhe die Aussteller besuchen und uns ein bisschen umsehen konnten.
Es fanden auch Flugvorführungen statt für die vielen Besucher, die dann ab mittags hereinströmten.
Ich hatte auf dem Weg ins Stadion bereits gekröpft. Mein Mensch sagte, ich sei dann entspannter.

Das Stadion füllte sich zusehends und die Besucher dachten immer, wir seien auch Aussteller und bombardierten uns mit Fragen und machten gefühlte tausend Fotos von mir. Mein Mensch beantwortete geduldig alle Fragen und ich schaute immer stolz in die Handys und Kameras.
Nur einmal nicht. Da machten wir kurz Pause und mein Azubi wollte etwas essen. Da kam ein Mann und störte unsere Mittagspause und wollte mich ungefragt fotografieren. Dem streckte ich immer meinen Rücken hin. Er rannte dann um mich herum, ich drehte mich wieder. Ätsch!
Irgendwann waren wir alle müde und verließen dann das Festival. Mein Mensch hatte nette und interessante Leute getroffen, viel gesehen und nun sehnten wir uns nach Ruhe.
Wir holten den Vierbeiner im Hotel ab und gingen auf eine Wiese, dort machten wir ein Picknick.

Nachts stand ich im Hotel auf dem Nachttisch neben meinem Menschen.
Seitdem weiß ich, wie man jemanden mit einem durchdringenden Blick wecken kann. 😉

Es war ein schöner Ausflug und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Festival.

In September 2019 we went to Waldshut-Tiengen.
There was a falconry festival there and if you came with your own bird of prey, you didn’t have to pay an entrance fee.
And since my human is Swabian…. 😉
The weather could not be better for an open-air event.
The festival was held in a stadium. We went there early in the morning so that we could visit the exhibitors at our leisure and look around a bit.
There were also flight shows for the many visitors who then streamed in from noon.
I had already eaten on the way into the stadium. My human said I was then more relaxed.
The stadium filled visibly and the visitors always thought we were also exhibitors and bombarded us with questions and took what felt like a thousand photos of me. My human patiently answered all questions and I always looked proudly into the cell phones and cameras.
Only once not. We took a short break and my apprentice wanted to eat something. A man came and disturbed our lunch break and wanted to take my picture without being asked. I always put my back to him. He then ran around me, I turned around again. Ouch!
At some point we were all tired and then left the festival. My human had met nice and interesting people, seen a lot and now we longed for rest.
We picked up the four-legged friend at the hotel and went to a meadow, there we had a picnic.
At night, I stood on the nightstand next to my human in the hotel.
Since then I know how to wake someone up with a penetrating look.
It was a nice trip and I’m already looking forward to the next festival.
