Als mein Mensch den Falknerschein gemacht hat, hat sie beim Lernen gestaunt, wie viele Gesetze es gibt, die der Falkner kennen sollte.

Zum einen wird man von den Jagdschulen gut geschult und optimal für die Falknerprüfung vorbereitet, zum anderen sollte man sich aber auch weiterhin mit den Gesetzen beschäftigen, um sich nicht versehentlich strafbar zu machen.
Es ist gut und wichtig, dass die Haltung von Greifvögeln streng geregelt ist. Nur so kann man verhindern, dass jeder einen Greifvogel kauft und hält, ohne sich mit dessen Bedürfnissen auszukennen, ohne kontrolliert zu werden und vielleicht sogar ohne die Leidenschaft, die es für die Falknerei braucht.
Die oben genannten Gesetze regeln z.B. die Beschaffung eines Greifvogels, die Haltung, die Ausübung zur Beizjagd, die Zucht, den Schutz (ganz wichtig!), die Kennzeichnung (siehe Beitrag „Warum ich einen Ring trage“) etc.
On the one hand, one is well trained by the hunting schools and optimally prepared for the falconry exam, but on the other hand, one should continue to deal with the laws in order not to inadvertently make oneself liable to prosecution.
It is good and important that the keeping of birds of prey is strictly regulated. This is the only way to prevent anyone from buying and keeping a bird of prey without being familiar with its needs, without being inspected, and perhaps even without the passion that falconry requires.
The above mentioned laws regulate e.g. the acquisition of a bird of prey, the keeping, the exercise for falconry, the breeding, the protection (very important!), the marking (see article „Why I am wearing a ring“) etc.
Was muss ein Mensch haben, bevor er sich einen Greifvogel kaufen und aufstellen kann?
What must a person have before they can buy a bird of prey?
- Jagdschein / German hunting license
- Falknerschein / German falconry license
- Genügend Platz für eine Voliere oder für eine Flugdrahtanlage. Hier müssen die baurechtlichen Vorschriften beachtet werden! / Enough space for an aviary or for a flying wire installation. Here the building regulations must be observed!
- Genügend Zeit und Liebe für den Greifvogel (ganz wichtig!) / Enough time and love for the bird of prey (very important!)
- Optimal wäre auch eine Jagdgelegenheit für den Greifvogel. Hier muss man sich fragen: WANN kann ich WO mit meinem Beizvogel WAS jagen? / Optimal would also be a hunting opportunity for the bird of prey. Here you have to ask yourself: WHEN and WHERE can I hunt WHAT with my bird of prey?
- Man sollte sich vorher Gedanken darüber machen, woher man gute Atzung für den Greifvogel bekommt, zu welchem kundigen Tierarzt man gehen könnte und sich möglichst vorher schon ein Netzwerk aufbauen, denn ohne Tipps und Hilfe von anderen tut man sich als Anfänger vielleicht schwer. / You should think beforehand about where you can get good food for the bird of prey, to which knowledgeable veterinarian you could go and if possible build up a network beforehand, because without tips and help from others you may find it difficult as a beginner.
- Auch empfiehlt es sich, einen „Falknertag“ bei einer Falknerei zu buchen, damit man so vielleicht herausfinden kann, ob man wirklich sein Leben so einem Vögelchen unterordnen will und kann. Oder man arbeitet als Praktikant bei einer Falknerei mit. / It is also advisable to book a „falconry day“ at a falconry, so that you can perhaps find out whether you really want to and can subordinate your life to such a bird. Or one works as an apprentice with a falconry.
Fazit: Man muss kein Jurist sein, um Falkner zu werden, aber man muss ein bisschen verrückt, leidenschaftlich, einfühlsam und zielstrebig sein.
